There’s another Race Night in the Village Hall on February 20th to raise funds for the hall. Last year the hall was packed out for Race Night, and even those who didn’t win enjoyed the event. For those who are unfamiliar with the concept, pre-recorded horse races are projected on screen and you buy a horse before the off; if and when your horse does the business, you win money. It’s amazing how carried away we all got under the circumstances – standing on seats is discouraged, but it’s difficult not to.

Gail Thomas will be running the bar. Richard Thomas has the laptop and projector, but he’s looking for a screen onto which the races can be projected, and an audio system which will plug into the laptop. If you have such a thing, please make yourself known…
