Tregothnan Gardens

Sat, 13 Apr 19 - Sun, 14 Apr 19

Open for one weekend on the 13th & 14th April 2019.

Adults: £10 per person

Children under 16: Free

Tregothnan will open its usually private gates to the largest garden in Cornwall. Open for one weekend on the 13th and 14th April 2019, visitors can experience Tregothnan’s unequalled diversity of trees, historic, botanical and rare collections, sweeping vistas and peaceful secluded groves on the banks of the beautiful river Fal.

You can choose either day to attend and we are running a ticketless system. When paying for tickets online, a confirmation email will be sent to you electronically. Please print a copy and bring with you to the garden to gain admission. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE ANYTHING BY POST.

All the proceeds go to charity and our main charity for 2019 year is iSightcornwall – the first centre of resource for all in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly who are affected by sight loss, whatever their age, circumstance or condition. At iSightcornwall, the team care passionately about helping anyone living with a visual impairment since its foundation in 1856 when the charity supported Cornish miners. iSightcornwall helps to support and encourage people living with a visual impairment to lead active, independent, and involved lives, at home, in the workplace, in their education, and by no means least, in their social lives

Get lost in ancient Camellias, mountainous Magnolias and the biggest Rhododendrons in the world with 40 foot crescendos of full flower. The sheer scale of the garden, over 100 acres, means that there will be plenty of peace.

2018 visitor, Penny Blackmore, commented

“I just wanted to say a big ‘thank you’ for our visit today.  The sun was glorious, but the gardens would have been stunning in any weather.  The organisation of the event was so comprehensive and well planned we had no trouble finding you, getting parked, finding our way around and resting with a delicious cream tea. I do hope the event raised a HUGE amount for the charities involved.”

Also available will be Cornish cream teas with Tregothnan tea and Kea plum jam, Salcombe Dairy ice creams, estate-reared meat cooked on a barbecue over Tregothnan charcoal, and delicious homemade lunches. Musical entertainment are sure to keep visitors entertained throughout the weekend.
