I can’t believe just how quickly Christmas comes around each year and one of the highlights of the festive season is our WI Christmas lunch. Fifteen ladies gathered at the Lanhydrock Golf Club and enjoyed a carvery with roast turkey and gammon along with all the trimmings. It was a very sociable occasion and Kay, our treasurer and vice president, stood and gave a short announcement with an update on Judy Lobb our president who has just had a health scare along with a short stay in hospital. We all send our best wishes and hope to see you back at our January meeting.
Our next meeting will be on Friday 10th January, when Rebecca Lobb will be telling us about the trials and tribulations of a primary school teacher. We have the new programme out with some interesting speakers coming along so do come and join us at Withiel Hall, usually on the first Friday of the month. You will be made very welcome.
