Polo on the beach at Watergate Bay

Watergate Bay’s biggest event, award-winning Aspall Polo on the Beach, is back for a tenth year! The spectacle has attracted thousands of people each year since 2007 to watch a showcase of world-class polo, equestrian displays and family entertainment.
On Friday 19 & Saturday 20 May there will be two high-goal polo matches at 6.30pm. Friday’s match will feature Cornwall vs Rest of World and Saturday’ smatch will be the main Aspall trophy match will some of the countries best polo players. Sunday 21 May will see the return of the family dog show run by St Francis Home for Animals, at 10.30am.
In addition to the polo matches there will be lots of arena entertainment including a horse jousting and stunt display, polo demonstrations and Segway polo. Beach entertainment will include lots to do for the family, Segway taster sessions and delicious food and drink.
On Friday night following the trophy presentations there will be live music and a firework display as well as an Argentinean Asado barbecue (tickets on sale soon). On Saturday the Polo on the Beach party returns will three headline acts including local musician Ruarri Joseph and his band William The Conqueror, Flats & Sharps and Molotov Jukebox.
