Our June meeting had four men visitors! They came to listen to our two speakers talking about Prostate Cancer awareness. Wendy Symons (one of our own W.I. members), and Jem Marshall told us about their involvement with the Graham Fulford Charitable Trust, which offers testing to all men over 40 years of age. Jem lost his father to the disease after his G.P. repeatedly told him to go away. Wendy Symons set up the admin & logistics side of the process. She ensures when men go for the blood test, that the testing, that the nurses have all the equipment need. A very responsible job.
It was a very enlightening talk from both of them and we were grateful for their talk.
