Last weekend’s bingo evening in the village hall was greatly enjoyed by everyone present, including three of the organisers – Stephen, Wendy and Erica, pictured above.
Stephen Horrocks has this to say: “It was great to see a good attendance at our recent Bingo evening. A great selection of prizes was on offer, from large boxes of vegetables, to family chicken dinners, cream teas, a full breakfast and fruit baskets, to name but a few.
Lorna Philip, our caller, kept things moving along at a good pace and kept us all in order.
The raffle, bar and teas and coffees all did a swift trade.
The evening raised a total of £432.45 for the Hall refurbishment. Phase 1 of which is well underway.
My thanks to those who generously donated to both the prizes and the raffle, it was much appreciated. Anne Collings’ associates also donated £40 towards the event, which was very kind.
Bingo evenings seem to be popular events, so we have scheduled several for next year: 24th February, 25th May, 26th October, so make a note in your diaries.
My thanks to the Village Hall Social Group who, as ever, worked hard to ensure a successful evening. Anne Collings has asked to join our group, so we welcome her to the team.
Thanks to all those who supported the event and made it an enjoyable and fun evening.
